My sister and I spent two nights on Paros, in the little town of Naoussa. We went to relax, and relax we did! There's not a lot to do on this little island, except swim, tan, and otherwise engage in leisure activities. I am all for that! Doesn't make for an exciting blog entry though. Really, all we did was lie on the beach, swim in the ocean, wander around Naoussa and Parikia, the main town, read and nap. That's all. Good times, but not at all eventful.
Paros, Greece katiebatemanBandana, check. Hat, check. I pod, check. Watch, check. All right, time to go out for a run. Starting out I made a right up the hill from Young Inn where I was staying. Paros is a hilly island which made for a great challenging run this beautiful breezy morning. The coast on my right and hills on my left, it was just a matter of following a road. Being 7am the only creatures about at this time were the surprising number of cats inhabiting this island and fisherman. As I passed the docks along...

... are still many columns as well as some interesting mosaics. Even with what remains, there is enough to get a good idea of what the island would have been like in its heyday. The best know sculptures on the island are a row of lions.
We anchored within the Bay of Delos and returned in the afternoon for lunch aboard. After we finished exploring the island, we boarded the yacht and returned to Mykonos for the evening. We went to shore and found a ...

We just think that Mama Mia was one of the goofiest movies ever made. It reminded us of one of those goofy half hour sitcoms where characters would periodically break out in song. Fortunately, the networks did the right thing and saved us all ...

... the effort to get home. I got to say i paid back all dues getting Hastie home, he couldnt walk and couldnt talk. One chick (Laura)came up to us and said "Hey i saw Dan earlier, he is the second drunkest person on the island tonight." I questioned "second drunkest?" "Yeh sure is" as Laura pointed to a guy walking around with his pants down. Your lucky you were second Hastie! So that was the first night on Ios. We quickly fell into the island ...

It was down to the last 2 - Myself and Mark, the English bloke who had invited me and who had a mild resemblance to Brad Pitt (or so he thought). I figure he didn't expect me do be doing so well. But anyway, I was 4 lives up (you get an extra if you sink the black) and he was only 2. There was a good deal of Aussie English rivalry going on and we had a good crowd cheering us on. With my dominating lead, it was pretty easy to sort out the rest of the game.... or so you'd ...
Ios, Greece tommyHow on Earth did I get to be so lucky?
My family and I went on a cruise of the Greek Islands. We ate a lot, got sea sick once, soaked up the sun, and absorbed the classically beautiful white and blue colours on the islands. There weren't very much ship activities that my sister and I were interested in but Allyson and I did win a bingo game! Mykonos was by far our favorite island because of its beauty.
