My travels have now taken me more south in Thailand, where the food is hotter and the climate is, well, also hotter. Sticky, like, oh, let's say a melted Lifesaver on the car seat one sweltering summer day that some child obviously spit out without telling mom... but I digress.

Our water supplies soon ran out although a nice old woman kindly walked by the side of our vehicle and filled my bottle up from a jug! In the evening, we went down to the Tourism Office to meet up with Terry, the middle-aged guy who had earlier offered to give us a tour for free. We eventually met up with him (after getting a tourist officer to phone him up!) at ...

You may be surprised to find yourself reading a blog entry free of typos (I hope!), given that the return of the company laptop had condemned me to the torment of the dysfunctional keyboards of Asian internet cafes. But I am, in fact, typing on my very own keyboard, belonging to what could be the smallest laptop in existence, snapped up for a snip at Pantip Plaza in Bangkok (thanks Dave and Martin for your pre-shopping input!) ...
