... We found a spot and settled in for a while with a couple of much needed swims thrown in there as well. After a few hours we wandered back around to the boat to change and drop our stuff and go off exploring in the direction of the old, old town. All of the towns we were visiting in Croatia were all ancient and Vis was no exception since people have been there since 3000 BC! In the last couple of hundred years it has been more famous as a military base due to ...

... a place for hiding naval vessels. We also walked to the old town and chilled out there for a while before joining the rest of the Medsailors group for a welcome cocktail party on the beach. We then joined in on another Medsailors boat group for dinner and got to know them - a nice bunch of Kiwis who all worked together, and 2 fellow Melbournians. Great pizza and conversation was followed by some drinks back on our boat with our Sika group...a great day all ...
