... small island of Vis. A beautiful small island about 15 by 10 kilometers in size with a huge history. Vis has been a strategic island since the days of the Romans/Greeks due to it is the furthest off shore of Croatia and consequently the closest to Italy. There is lots of history here.. Greeks settled here in the 4th century due to its proximity and access to the Adriatic naming it Issa that was later shortened to Vis , British inhabited it and ...

After cruising through the submarine tunnel we followed the edge of the island around to the other main town Komiza. Our trip displayed the rocky island falling sharply in the sea. There were many caves both where the sea met the land and high up in the cliffs. We learned that the best fishermen come from Komiza and fishing is a huge part of the town's ...

... but unfortunately we couldn't manage to get up there before dinner at 7.30pm.  Dinner was tuna and bean salad for entree, and whole red snapper. garlic potatoes and vegetables follwoed by chocolate mouse and cream for dessert. I was very full especially as we'd had a large lunch as well - but hey what's new  ! After dinner we had our usual briefing and there are two rides tomorrow - yay!  Some went out into Hvar after dinner and some just went to bed!  Another amazing ...
