We have had a slow cruise around the western isles and are now provisioning for the transatlantic crossing, leaving tomorrow as we have a good weather window
30/10 we stayed in Marina Atlantico in santa cruz and watched the gale go by with heavy rain, and tom and I went for a long walk to find an Atlantic crossing chart

Island Hopping - La Gomera
Today we took a 40 minute ferry to another island... La Gomera. Tomy's Mom is from this island and they have an apartment there. We were going to stay their overnight but we started to run out of time and we decided to just go for the day.

To The Volcano

I have a great photo of a vent where the lava came out of the side of the volcano. You can see where it came down the mountain and then across the road.
Tomorrow is Sunday, so we will probably just hang out here and catch some sun. On Monday we have a flight at the North Airport (1 hour away) at 7:30 am so we will be up at 4 and leaving here around 4:30. Not sure when you will hear from us again, probably in Madeira... next stop.

More Sun and Hills
... trip down and back up the hill we went over to one of the All Inclusives to sit on the edge of the cliff and have lunch. I have to say that I am very disappointed with the food here. After all of the great meals that we have had for the past 6 weeks, this is the most mediocre stuff we have ever eaten. Oh well, the beer and sanrgia were ok. Her are a few photos just to keep you up dated. We plan on heading to the volcano tomorrow, so stay tuned.

Up Hill Both Ways - Really !!
... down the path along the cliffs for ah hour or so to the other more popular beach. I have some photos of the town along the way. Also, you can see the road that we had to climb, it is really steep and we had to climb up and down it a few times. One would think that we should be in better shape, but I think stopping for beer and sangria along the way probably has prevented any help in the health ...
