... that many of the families from El Factor met us there. Teens and adults alike swam in the water, played baseball and continued to make friends. We watched a group of men building a fishing boat out wood. The boat was set upon logs and held up by a wood post and ropes. They used the ropes to move the boat from on side to the other. No machines needed in El Factor! Our day ended with Sunday evening service and dinner. ...

Native people, just as in North America, had no chance against the weapons and diseases of the invaders. Fortunately much is known about their culture and artifacts remain. We enjoyed this stop.

The tender looked a bit rough, but it's the lifeboat so good practice. Inside it's hot and a bit unpleasant but after about ten mins we headed off. Not the smoothest ride but not too long. Sweltering though. We took the pretty walk towards town but there were a huge number of people selling rides and souvenirs so we practised no thanks quite a lot.
