      Magical Menorca

... the place. Maybe this just stems from the time that we owned the island in the 18th Century?

Menorca is definitely a holiday island, it is much smaller than its neighbour, Majorca, seems far less developed and where this has taken place the villas or hotels seem to be on a much smaller, or higher quality scale. This might just be a 'rose tinted spectacles' view but it seems a pleasant place to spend some time and maybe with us being out of the main ...

... Spanish omelette with unlimited sangria...!! Although I think I only managed two glasses (honestly!). The island is uninhabited, except for thousands of small lizards, who were very welcoming! It was lots of fun trying to help John get over his fears, and it was useful to have our own "dragon-handler" (Andrea) on hand. Beautiful sand and crystal clear sea (it was genuinely like being in a pool!). The water was on a strange ledge which made the waves come in from all over the place - lots of fun. But it was also really easy to go quite far out and be completely secluded and very peaceful - the ...

... day as a lot of seaweed had blown in and made the water look a bit black! It was still good for swimming and the waves made it fun. We didn't explore too far from where we parked the car... Which might not have been such a bad idea, as apparently various parts of the beach are for different "customers"... We were in a quite normal section although did get a few shocks when not concentrating or focussing properly! In the evening, we met with Lisa ...

      Day 39

A travel blog entry by 4girls on Aug 08, 2014

... everyone jumped from the water. The canoes arrived and everyone jumped in and paddled around the island. First stop was at a cliff with tee jumps. After a few people jumped, Chloe and Lauren also thought it would be a good idea. Upon getting to the top, it looked ALOT higher then in the water. Chloe made Lauren jump first who awkwardly turned in the air and landed on her bum....yes she ...
