We arrived in this beautiful city at dusk so we weren't able to get the most out of it. Stayed there only for one hour and we spent that time in Parco Civico capturing the flickering lights of the city surrounded by mountains. The view from the shores of Lake Lugano was fascinating. It's truly a must-visit city and I'd love to go back and see it in broad daylight. ...

I was sick as a dog and it was freezing (so much for a European summer) so we did a lot of cafe hopping ...

After that, the girls are heading back home. Everyone is returning in drips and drabs but all should be back in Australia by June.

Back to camping and a stunning mountain pass

... backed on, faster than us and maybe with more enjoyment. Oops! Andy continued down the rest of the 'fun road' towards Dangio where Carol lived, a friend of Andy's mother many years ago. Carol wasn't available that afternoon, so we camped just down the road in Acquarosso, stopping at a little deli for some gluten free pasta, gnocchi and crackers before going home to cook a gluten free and vegetarian pasta for dinner. It seems the sausage has overstayed it's welcome of ...
