    ... ex-government officials stately home then on to 3 different bars/clubs where we would get one free drink at each.
    There were maracas and pumping loud music on the bus and Smooth did a lot of entertaining unnecessary multiple circles in the roundabouts.

    We quickly realized that basically these 'local bars' were probably only open tonight to contain the two busloads of people.

    Today began with a long, meandering barefoot beach walk from our hotel to Manchebo Beach. The hotels keep the beaches immaculate and, unlike other parts of the island, the white flour sand and clear surf are free of litter and seaweed.     ... captain announced that we were experiencing difficulties but not to worry! After a short time we resumed travel but at half speed while the engineers sought to correct the problem. Hours later we came to a brief stop while all engine systems were shut down and we floated while experiencing a 27 knot wind from the rear.
