    ... in well so the area is preserved. If we thought the Lower Lakes were spectacular the Upper Lakes are magnificent with lots more waterfalls, wildlife and vegetation. There are short steep climbs between the various lakes and the boardwalks allow you a very close view at the base of many of the powerful cascades which range in height from a few metres to over twenty.     ... of the harbour and sat and enjoyed the sun setting, watching all the tourists, locals and school groups going about their business and with yachts of all sizes in front of us - we were thrilled to be in such a beautiful place. We will definitely come back tomorrow to explore some more and learn about the history of the place. The bus back to the hotel was easy to catch and luckily we had some small money to pay the 22 Kuna fare ($4). So far so ...

    ... The next morning I was on my way to Podstrana just south of Split. I first rode to Knin with a 20km detour due to road work, then along the lake Peruēko to Sinj before rejoining the motorway direction Split and then short ride to Podstrana where I stayed 2 days at Villa Mikrut.
    Split is a beautiful city buzzing with tourists. It is the second largest City in Croatia.
