... but in our haste to grab a pitch and get the tent up we didn't see the pitches where the waves are basically lapping at your doorstep - so we missed a trick there. Never mind, got to enjoy a lazy day at the beach topping up the tan and testing out the newly acquired (finders keepers) mask & snorkel set. No sand again (why does the earth insist on stones?!?), but it was a great spot with beautiful water for swimming, so so clear. All relaxed and beached up ...

... their way past us in search of fun things to chase. We decided to head back to grab our bags so that we could line up for the Jadrolinjia ferry that would take us to Split, our final destination. Mr. Donkey (me) ran up the 200 steps, grabbed our bags, said goodbye to cute Vinka Tudor, and then ran back down the stairs. Okay, I walked. We then got on the ferry and waved goodbye to the beautiful island that we cannot wait to travel to again. Hvar is ...

... I know I did and it was so great. Later in the afternoon we went for a stroll through the center of Trogir and stopped for some coffee and wifi time. The center of a city or town is similar to what we would consider a "downtown" but so much better. It is made up of massive old buildings filled with cafés, restaurants, and shops. I bought a little present for my mom here because I just know how much she would ...

... looked good so that's where me and my bike were staying. It was now way after 18h00 and my plan was to go and explore the town but sadly that never materialized. It had been a long day and I sure was feeling the pinch and so sat down for a few minutes and nodded off. Before I knew it the time was 21h30 and the day was over. I ordered some food on room service and that was generally it for the day. Of course, just like it seems in all hotels these days there is always some ...

... The next morning I was on my way to Podstrana just south of Split. I first rode to Knin with a 20km detour due to road work, then along the lake Peruēko to Sinj before rejoining the motorway direction Split and then short ride to Podstrana where I stayed 2 days at Villa Mikrut.
Split is a beautiful city buzzing with tourists. It is the second largest City in Croatia.
