... came a new pump. Yay! Off we go across the bay to finish the cleaning, provisioning and preparing. Cleaning includes washing, waxing and buffing the hull. Ugh! So when a local said he would do all of that for us for $100 USD we jumped at the offer. Only problem was, he would need half the money in advance so he could buy the very best products. We forked over $50. Next day he comes back and says he can't work today ...

This is spring break for the local Mexicans. San Carlos has the closest beaches from two large cities and this is the vacation spot for them. We choose to be here but others are turned off by the crowds, loud music and merriment. We have never witnessed a fight or any violence unlike spring break parties in the states.
