... was a big sign at the hotel, like what we would have for "no smoking" but theirs was no spiky fruit! Or more accurately no Durian, which is apparently an exceptionally smelly fruit.. We didn't try it!

After an early dinner we made our way to the airport, to fly out to Bali. We flew Air Asia, a no frills airline where you pay for everything, seats, meals etc. There was an awful smell on the plane, fortunately the flight wasn't too long. We did get something for free, near ...

I am going diving on my first day itself. ...

Busier than we remember, traffic and people fill the streets and police are pulling over every motorbike to check licences. So busy infact that Flashbacks is fully booked but our 2nd stop Keke homestay has a groundfloor room which we happily check in to. We're able to get to the bank and withdraw a cool ...

... Yogyakarta and another day from Jakarta. We booked out of Jakarta on the 4th rather than the 3rd as our plan has 6 spare days in it, so on the advice of Marius decide to check out South Kuta's northern beach of Balangan. Allegedly it's a surf beach rather than one to swim on but it looks awesome and by all accounts is deserted. This probably means we wint be anle to find an open bar, but after today I can deal with that It will ...
