... of the island, we bypassed the queues for immigration and security, and were fast tracked out of the airport. I did feel a little sorry for everyone else waiting in line, but also a little bit pleased with myself at the same time.
Jumping in the mini van, reggae music on high, the first stop was at a bar for a Piton beer or Rum and Coke at a view point. It was raining but it didn’t put a dampener ...
Travelling abroad is a fantastic perk of working in the travel industry and when I was given the opportunity to join an educational trip to St Lucia in the Caribbean, organised by the St Lucia Tourist board, I couldn't contain my excitement. The Caribbean is one of those places everyone would like to visit, and I thought my chance of going was a long way off. So of course I grabbed the opportunity with ...
Rodney Bay, Minas Gerais, Saint Lucia kat-hayter... overlooking the sea, bar and restaurant overlooking the Caribbean sunset. On Rodney Bay itself there are a number of ordinary hotels but the ones that stand out are The Landings located in a marina very like Chelsea Harbour in London ...
Castries, Saint Lucia paulatluxury... this show should not be missed at all. It was 100% fantastic, marvelous show! They did a great job! After the show we went again to the ship's photographer for some family picture. However Makayla is not cooperating and doesnt look at the camera, its kinda frustrating, anyway he took some shots still. Maybe once Makayla reach 3 years old, probably we can do it better. Its another funfilled day!
Castries, Saint Lucia ri-anne.cruz... to Soufriere where we boarded a huge catamaran. We sat in the open aired section, feeling the welcoming breeze on our face and the warmth of the sun on our skin as the catamaran made its way into open sea along the coast line. It was totally relaxing and romantic sailing on clear blue water with the exotic landscape around us. Was I dreaming or really here! I had to pinch myself to make sure but I knew, I was here at this exact ...
Saint Lucia, Saint Lucia momentsintime... achievement with really only one major road. There were a few things we really liked about St Martin, on the Dutch side the main town is Philipsburg where most of the major cruise liners come into, it has great duty fee shopping in which the boys were able to get a few things with their Christmas and Birthday money. It has a fantastic supermarket with all the home like delicacies that we ...
Marigot Bay, Netherlands Antilles bellavitaAbout to run out of time in internet cafe - will write this one up another day! St Lucia looks great - off to the beach.... Took a taxi into the town and had a brief look round. Then we took another taxi to the beach - Rodney Bay. Hired some sun loungers and an umbrella. Lots of swimming in the sea (very nice) and pretty much doing nothing.
Castries, Saint Lucia katie.forsythWe left Barbados for the island of St Lucia which is to the north west, its an old volcanic island with amazing peaks and prehistoric looking jungle fringed by white sand beaches and coconut palms. Our destination was Rodney Bay right at the north of the island to spend Christmas at the marina with the Aussies, Kiwis, Canadians, French, German, American, British etc etc . On Christmas Eve we took a bus ride into Castries which is the capital to have a look around at the ...

Castries, Saint Lucia ashleylutt... for the lush vegetation and that was evident this morning. We left the ship to join our tour and the skies were overcast with sporadic drizzle. The group was split up into 2 vans as we drove through downtown Castries. Like Saint John in Antigua, it was as if we had been transplanted in Africa. The streets were very narrow with people walking all around going about their daily routines. While trying to maneuver through the traffic, we passed in front of one of Castries' most famous ...
