... from the gentleman woodcarver we had seen before. We then all met at the shuttle to return to our bus. We then met a woman and her truffle hunting dog Eriki, a Labrador mix, along the side of the road at a rest area with a picnic bench. They start training the dogs early by burying dog treats soaked in olive oil and truffles. A good trained dog can stay focused for 2-2 1/2 hours. A truffle hunter must be licensed. ... be too close to the edge of the trail on the drop side. You had to be quick to take a picture. We hiked the lower lakes and maintained a steady pace. It is a very popular destination and the park today was crowded, so people were on your tail or passing you constantly.
