      ... we have had to deal with. On the way over to St Thomas from Joost van Dyke we noticed a “clunk” in the steering and it seems that there was a bit more damage done to the rudder when it was hauled out by the Sea Lift in St Maarten to put on the “Hurricane Stand”. They snagged the rudder and took a chunk of fibreglass out of it, which was duly repaired without any fuss but it now seems that the bushes near the quadrant were damaged as well so the yacht will need to ...

      ... a my first corner cafe for several hours and only leave minimal tip, but that is what I have to get used to.There is no more "Valet Dan,” as Nicolette pointed out.       We woke to the sight of the island of St Thomas, and the entry to the harbour is a lovely sight. We had a shore tour booked and grabbed some breakfast early so we could watch the entry to the dock from the deck. St Thomas was owned by the Danish before it was bought by the US and there are remains of defence buildings at the entry to the port.

      ... for Thanksgiving and the turkey was really good. Fortunately, the kids that joined their parents for dinner were seated with them this time. Also, our tablemates didn’t show again.
