Beautiful Drive and Bad Luck
If we had to slow one day down and do it over again, it would be the day we traveled from Luang Prabang to Vang Vieng. am going to meet Vanessa and Viktoria in Laos so we will do our own
thing there. I think I will be spending that evening floating down a
river on a big inner tube from bar to bar in Vang Vieng. Life's tough

A City In Asia With No Car Horns

Living in limbo, lazing in Laos….
... you associate with cities like Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh, but with a sense of order and efficiency that we would once have said were almost Western, but now I’d have to say they were decidedly, well, Asian… The mix of East and West is still pretty harmonious in KL and visible everywhere. Chinese shop houses and towering glass and steel condominiums jostle for space with white colonial buildings from the days when this was still known as Malaya.
