Yesterday we did an excursion that took us on a Catamaran to Lands End which is the southern most tip of the California Peninsula and the border with Mexico, we felt a little cheated as we passed it on the ship as we sailed in!!! However we didn't see it so close up and wouldn't have seen the many sea lions that reside there or the only beach in the world which connects two oceans/seas (Cortez sea and the Pacific), a tiny little beach which can only be reached by boat. Our final day in Cabo WAS to have be a quiet one, but sometimes our travel web takes us in another direction.

We were leaving the marina Saturday evening when accosted by a representative who asked if we wanted to do a timeshare presentation, (we had been dodging him and his cohorts all week).....nothing to do today so "what the heck" this morning at 11 am we were picked up by free taxi and transported 20 minutes along ...

... down when we were ushered down to the tender. We sat upstairs in the sun and were glad we did as we had a bird's eye view of several sea lions in the harbour as well as numerous pelicans and some pretty nice yachts.

For the first time we had our bags inspected when we arrived and we noticed a couple of Marines nearby with all the equipment they need to hold down any suspect.

... the resort was wonderful. I’ll talk more about that later. The highlights for me were the magical New Year’s Eve party under the stars, the weather, the scenery, and my morning beach top exercise classes.
