... we could hike to it. Although we didn’t make it to the arch, we did discover some sweet other locations. On the far side of the marina on the south end of the peninsula lay private timeshares and cottages with huge stretches of private beach. We wanted to go explore this area, so, pretending to be residents at one of the timeshares, we snuck into their beach and bar to watch the sunset. What a change from the touristy beach on the marina—only a few families ...

... we stopped (or were stopped) by a handsome waiter who had entertained us a few days ago at lunch.....he wanted to make Erin & I a 'Sexy lady' coffee -(we were easy targets after a couple of Margarita's)....these he prepared tableside by heating our glasses under naked flame and flambéing brandy and Bayleys with icecream- OH gee ...delicious. ... I think it was a gift to our table companions – I’m not sure. There as red wine too but it doesn’t agree with me so I stuck to water when I finished my glass of champers.

We left the restaurant after some 2 ½ hours which went by so quickly and then hightailed it to the Universe Lounge to listen to the Captain’s Circle host, Julie James, sing songs from the jazz era - wow what a hidden talent she is - she should be ...

We took part in the resorts complimentary New Year’s Eve party and observed a Destination Wedding. The resort did an excellent job and festivities at both were impressive. At the New Years Party, we sat with 2 lady friends and an adult son with his parents. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them and exchanging stories while celebrating our special night. The ladies had been college friends who were brought back together after each losing their husbands of 35 ...

... of times so they slowed down and threw a live bait in but nadda, nothing. Lucky the weather was nice and we were adequately stocked with beers because had we not had any frothies on board it would of been pretty boring.

Well the trip was only meant to last 5 hours but it ended up going for 8 because they didn't want to go in empty handed, we didn't mind because we still had beers, so it was fine by us, we were happy to wait.
