    ... sat beside me and told me more of his history, Sure enough. He is a Mennonite but his family didn't actually immigrate to Canada till after WWII. In other words his story is not unlike that of my maternal grandparents, only 20 or 25 years later. He was so surprised that I knew something of Mennonite history, I think it made his day! Certainly it's those sorts of happenstances that also make a trip like this memorable.

    But it's been a long day. Now to a nice dry warm comfy ...

    ... to the beach and hired lounge chairs. The beach was pretty nice, not the best I've been to be nice none the less. I got stuck into my book and swam a lot. We had these amazing big burgers for 2 euro, deal of the century. Only problem was that the icecream people had become super stingy with the portions so I think it all balances out!
