After the hard goodbye we set off on the road in our newish fiat linea. It was a perfect car for our trip. We crossed the board into Albania and quickly realized that they are a bunch of crazy drivers. Not only were they flying by me around sharp corners but their large trucks ride people's asses! We didn't stop in Albania at all. Once in Montenegro we pulled over for a coffee and to use the washroom as we were 6 hours into our drive. After ...

... of his parents homelands. ZDRAVO!! Today is Sunday and after travelling at sea since Friday afternoon we have arrived at the splendid town of Kotor which is in the country of Montenegro. Was pretty cool to experience the Montenegro nightlife but next time will stick to the beach bars where the people are friendly! Burgers n fries on the way home, not excited for a 7am wake up ...

... with a group from the hostel at night.

We had the intention of climbing the 1000+ odd steps to a fortress overlooking the City before sunrise but that never happened, surprisingly. So we set off about 8ish with the plan of doing that, having a look round the Old Town, which is really nice and then getting the bus on to Herceg Novi - a city near the Croatian border, before going on to Dubrovnik. The climb was a pain in ...

... trace a lazy zig zag up the sheer slopes connecting to a fortified citadel at the top. A leviathan of a Holland-America cruise ship sailed out through the boka this afternoon and now the streets of old Kotor aren't as packed with day trippers. We explore the twisting backstreets, already deep in shadows contrasting with the warm, gold late afternoon sun on the peaks above the walls. In an ornate building from the Austro-Hungarian period, we enter an unlocked door to the gloom of ...
