For the sauce: Wash the vegetables, peel the carrots, the onion and the garlic and chop them together. Stir-fry them in a deep pan with oil and basil. Cook it on a high flame for about 3 minutes, then add the chopped or squeezed tomatoes. Let them cook for about half an hour on a low flame.
