... that say ‘Sam is gay’ or ‘I f*ck on the first date’ as well as fake cigarettes, and so we got out as soon as we got in. Back to the congested road lined with McDonalds and back into the narrow maze of alleyways and the searing sun. ... watching started epically good and became a bit disturbing. I dread to think what high season is like. I was considering swimming with dolphins in a sea enclosure but I can't endorse a practise which involves intelligent mammals caged up for no conservation reason or money raised for conservation. Plus I'd like to swim with wild dolphins anyway. After dolphin watching the rest of our time in Lovina was devoted to pinacoladas in nice ...

After a speedy ride I had made it to the mainland of Bali and proceeded to hopped in a large van for the last hour drive to reach my next destination, Ubud.  The ride was cramped and the air bumping as always, but being back in traffic was weird and unwelcome after a week on the island where nothing faster than a push bike is allowed.  Only two and a half days, I said to myself, before I would be leaving the busy behind and checking into my silent retreat.  So ...
