Rome- day 14

... s how you're gonna play it. I get it. Free for all, grab your own taxi. So we start trying to wave one down from both sides (we were sort of on an island). Finally we get a guy to pull up, and he was so nice! I said grazie grazie! And said how do I say I love you? And he laughed. Showed him the address and we were off! He didn't speak much English, but seemed amused by the boys, so we tried to talk to him a bit. He was pointing at something and said "rolling stones" ...

... didn't . While I might have endorsed the placing of a statue, I think I would also have actively broken up and removed the rock over time. I don't doubt the faith of the monks, but requesting a miracle, when we might do the work ourselves always seem unreasonable to me. Sometimes we must be the hands of God. It was pretty awesome when our day song was played and we all found each other, came together in the middle of the dance floor and sang it really loud! The I <3 Roma party was probably one of my favorite party nights! At least tomorrow is a drive day to Venice so ill be able to sleep off the hangover!

  • Visited churches, monasteries, former Roman temples that are now churches, basilicas, and chapels.
  • Seen a lot of really old stuff... everywhere.
  • Mastered the bus system into Rome.
  • Read Aeschylus, Herodotus, and Plato.
  • Fallen in love on the Rome Metro (just kidding, Mom). Also, gotten personal with strangers on an ...
