4.5 hours north of Dubrovnik via bus (including a short border crossing through Bosnia) arrived in Split, another small yet beautiful city. It's the soul of Dalmatia and the site of Emperor Diocletian's well-preserved palace. Explored the city easily by foot and relaxed at a nearby yet crowded Bacvice beach. Took a 1-hour catamaran and spent the day at Hvar Island, the queen of the Dalmatian Islands with crystal clear water, it would have been great to stay there ...
