The young elephants jostle for position, grunt and shove each other, all trying to get close to the keeper so that they can be fed a bottle of milk.           ... s wife comes to all our aid and invites in for dinner.

          This is a typical curry and rice affair - the main curry is chicken, supplemented by Yellow Dhal, Green Beans and Mallum (chopped leaves and Coconut) this is all complimented with short grain rice and fried papad and it's taste bud heaven, finally some real Sri Lankan food cooked by Sri Lankans for Sri Lankans (and their guests!)

          ... some delicious rice and curry. She stayed all day in Galle and met me at the close of play to squeeze ourselves onto a local bus to Mirissa and I'm sure that same night we enjoyed some fresh fish on the beach.
