Thoroughly enjoyed Rio - a very buzzy city but one not really outwardly showing that the Football World Cup is less than two weeks away. Our hotel looked directly over Copacabana beach and was right next door to the famous Copacabana Palace Hotel. Our visits to the mountain topped by the Jesus Christ Redeemer statue and Sugar Loaf mountain were both clouded in on the days we visited.
