... to level out the mud in the paddy and decided we should go down for a closer look. We wound our way through the fields, hopping from bank to bank when needed. Eventually we arrived at the field with the farmer and Anoop asked to take a photo. We then had to figure out how to get back and decided to head up a hill and maybe hit the main road. This plan didn’t work out so well as we hit a T and weren’t sure whether to head left ...

... I decided it would be wise to stay at the hotel whilst Scott went diving. He left the hotel at 7.30 am this morning. I attempted to sunbathe around 9am but the sun was hiding behind the clouds so I didn't have much luck! I can't believe we are already 25 days into our journey! I'm sure the next 14 weeks will fly and be over so quickly! As much as we can't wait to get home and see our family - We are really enjoying our time away! Especially here in ...

From 4am to about 12 noon time the food stores are open, ...

... mama was and then got really off when we wouldn't buy anything saying his mama worked really hard. Enough about bloody mama! He got no tip. From the village we drove to Tirta Ganga in Karangasem. The name means blessed water from the Ganges holy river in India. The garden was beautiful with (not surprisingly) plenty of pretty water features and a fun pond that you could cross by hopping along paving stones set just above the water. I felt like I had been flown ...

    Backpacking hell

A travel blog entry by niomioconnor on May 31, 2014

... a cheap room which includes breakfast and is right by the sea. The shower is amazing and the fan is powerful and we have a sink and mirror so were more than happy! We also have a really cheap and good supermarket opposite where I stocked up on toiletries (overdue) and we found cheap chocolate and lots of it !!! It's just those basic things that make you so so happy when your backpacking, you wouldn't believe it. This hotel is much better than the ones in the last couple of ...
