... series as some of it was filmed here. After this it was time to pack up and catch a shuttle bus from the cable car station to the airport. Unfortunately our flight was delayed by a few hours but there we go. Croatia is a beautiful country and I feel we only scratched the surface of it. I would live to come back and spend some more time here especially touring some of the islands and the National Parks. Buses (and ferries/catamarans) have proven to be a very ...

Eventually settled on a Plan C, to try to get above the weather by driving up to Mount Srd high above the city. Our drive up the mountain was quite interesting. Lots of hairpin turns on a narrow single lane with heavy rain, and an occasional cow. All of a ...

... spent the afternoon at the beach and then the evening walking round the old town which was nice. We found a great place for a photo where there is a bar in the wall with a great view of sunset. The photo will definitely be in this blog so have a look!

We had a nice dinner in the old town and then went back to our place (closer to the port) to sleep. The next morning we just took it easy until Jayna arrived in the old town. We found ...

On our final day in this magnificent country, Amy and I spent much of it on a beautiful island just across from Stari Grad in Dubrovnik, named Lokram. It has a wondrous and ancient history, including a legendary tale where King Ric*************hearted sought refuge from a storm while traveling during the crusades, and when Lokram saved him, he swore to build a church there (actually he eventually built it in Dubrovnik itself but who needs ...
