Arrived in Little Rock about 5:00 PM. Travel was uneventful with good weather and very little traffic which is the way we like it. We had a great evening exploring the Little Rock River District which was near our hotel. There was a large farmers' market with lots of local products. The produce looked great - especially the peaches. Too bad we would have to leave them In a hot car so we passed. We ate at a restaurant ...

Spent the day in Little Rock, Arkansas.
We rode our bikes as far around the Arkansas River Trail as far as we could, which turned out not to be very far. The temperature was around 92 and at least 300% humidity (: We did fine on the part that was down by the water but then it moved inward to the city proper and the added radiant heat from the concrete did us in. As we approached Little Rock we drove through a thunder storm with the rain so heavy that visibility was reduced to about ...

... resulted in a somewhat unfortunate job task of standing in a giant mud pit (which was the crawl space of the home) to install new floor joists and subfloor that had been gutted after the fire. We slipped around a lot and made friends with many spider colonies (but I'm not complaining). Overall, we made it fun and efficient, sharing the responsibility of measuring board lengths through sheets of spider webs. Our site supervisor was pretty cool but also slightly terrifying, as he had ...

After a delicious breakfast consisting of pancakes and bacon provided by the church, we set off to our build site in Little Rock. I was with the group that went to lay the roofing down at a house Habitat for Humanity of Pulaski county is building. I mostly spent the time handing up the sheets to my teammates who were on the roof. I ...
