Back on base at Meredyth's and on Friday we go to Waco Zoo in Cameron Park. This is relatively small and child friendly. so much so that it was heaving with school trips in the morning. it was quite well done but rather small enclosures for the lions & tiger. Max had a great time.
Saturday morning and after a visit to the Sunday/Pre-school Yard Sale, where Meredyth gets 3 boxes of train track stuff for $20, we head to Temple station for the train back ...

Thursday sees us do a little walk in SteelHouse State Park (rattlesnake risk mentioned at end) and then go up to Belton Lake for lunch. We continue to be a novelty with our British, or is it Australian accents, and two blonde, blue eyed kids.

... Beans & Rice dish. We joined them about 5 pm and visited around the fire a bit before we ventured inside to eat. We were joined by David & Linda McKee. It was a very nice group and the fellowship was very nice.

After returning from Walmart, made arrangements with Jim & Laura to go out to eat tonight, well actually late afternoon since we decided to leave about 3:30. We went to a place called FRANKIE'S PIZZA. They have lots more than pizza as we can attest since none of us ordered pizza. I tell you that Jim can eat. As we were walking to the car he stated that he was still hungry. We stopped at HEB for ice cream and then he ate 2 ...
... started out beating him royally, but by the time Jim & Laura arrived, he was catching up big time and then I was only 6 points ahead. They brought a TRIVIAL PURSUIT game and since we haven't played in years, we decided to play a few rounds.
