Staying at a Mariott Hotel which is evidently only 10 days old! The room we are staying in is lovely and the kids enjoyed a dip in the inside pool (although they said it wasn't particularly warm!).
This is definitely the worst campground we have stayed at. Next time we will remember and take our time to visit the shower-house before we pay. It was to dirty to use. The ground was covered with little pickers that stuck to my shoes, one even came through my shoe to poke me. Oh well, live and learn.
... consider mountains. Western Nevada and SoCal had some decent sized mountains but I wasn't fond of the sunrise.... Miami's was prettier. I also passed through San Antonio, El Paso, and Tucson so it was nice to see those cities.

... well into the night. We danced and sang. My only morning headache of the journey followed that night. We knew that most of us will never see each other again and almost for sure never drive down the highways and byways of another land together. We were saying goodbye with lumps in our throats almost in tears. Many of these people have traveled with me and HERO down that whole 40,000 mile road. The chances of HERO doing another journey at all ...

I love the many murals sprinkled throughout the Segundo Barrio. These photos give you a taste of the flavor of the neighborhood. For more info, click on the photo thumbnail.
El Paso, Texas, United States billiegreenwoodFinding this campground was a bit of a pain. Our directions were sketchy, and we found ourselves panicking when we realized that we had gone too far on the highway and were getting ready to cross the border into Mexico. We REALLY didn't want to deal with that mess. Border patrol and such. We went back and forth on that stinkin' road several times before we finally got smart and called the campground. Having better ...

We exited the market onto the crowded street and I realized how lost I would be if it weren't for Armando. In contrast to the more traditional market, we passed through a much more trafficked modern market with every item imagineable. In order to escape the heat we decided to sit in the shade next to a monument dedicated to the town's namesake, Benito ...
