    Au revoir America!

A travel blog entry by taylor.burke on Jun 16, 2015

Today the journey began! My mom and I drove to Kansas City in order for me to board my flight early tomorrow morning. It took a while to get going because I kept remembering last minute things, and even when we got to Kansas City we had to make several emergency supply stops because apparently I forgot to pack my brain (my mom was thrilled about this). However, all worked out and we ended up getting to ...

... we will be doing over the next 13 days.

Also, once I get home from this trip, I will have to finish out my Guatemala blog. It was a CRAZY 5 days that I had between my trips. I had 5 cheer practices, 4 job interviews, 2 photography sessions, lots of laundry, 1 job acceptance and a ton of time with my family before heading out on trip number 2. :)

Happy to share with you my travels on this trip. Hope you enjoy reading! :) ...

Let me clarify: we were driving and, right after passing a police car, all of a sudden we saw a sign on the ...

This morning we slept in until 7:30 before getting dressed and going to look at the Casino. We spent $10 and made (and lost) $17. We then checked out of the hotel and headed to the Saint Louis Science Center - a child's paradise (and mine). It was tons of fun going to see all the exhibits, especially the energy exhibit (big surprise). We then headed on our way. In Weldon Springs we stopped at the Weldon Spring Site or lovingly referred to as ...

... 8217;ll take with me for the rest of my life. I know I also learned that American food prices are ridiculously high. No wonder labor is so expensive here; cost of living is astronomically inflated. I’m probably going to have a garden this year and grow my own vegetables, but I’ll invest hundreds of dollars in garden beds, soil, seeds, water, fertilizer (unless I just use Lacey’s natural fertilizer). Even that is expensive in this ...
