We finally arrived in Pismo Beach at 6pm only to find it full. We are staying at the Pismo Coast Village (www.pismocoastvillage.com) which had just one space left. They must have n
known we were coming. Had a lovely dinner at the PCV Grill and now relaxing in the RV and making plans to hit the beach tomorrow.

As we made our way into Pismo and to the Sandcastle Inn close to the Pier the sea breeze and ocean smells reminded me of Torquay. The beach itself is quite different...it goes as far as you can see and beyond, there is a lot of sand before you arrive at the waters edge and Californian Lifeguard stands spread along the beach. Better news came tonight as we swung off highway 1 to find our hotel 20 yards from the turn-off. Better still the local fish restaurant was serving lots of cheap specials and bottles of wine at half-price. We have over-indulged at a a ridiculously low price. And folks we really don’t care!
