... well. While it was completely awkward, Jaime and I made the most of it by cutting up, making jokes and all in all just being our dorky selves. I just know that those ladies ...
Santa Elena (Monteverde), Province of Puntarenas, Costa Rica farrahfig... he stopped. We were back at the pension by 12pm, plenty of time to plan another activity for the day..and what else do you do when you're in Monteverde? ZIPLINE in the canopy!
We rested up for a couple of hours and made our reservation with Selvatura for 2pm. A short ride up the hills almost to the Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve ( that's the other cloud forest reserve in the area), and we were dropped off, strapped into harnesses and hit the trails to the platforms. It was a ...

... I want to be that active and fit when I am her age (and look that good). Last night we hosted 12 cowboys at Elena's place and made them breakfast today before they took the all day trek back to San Jose on their horses. It was a lot of work, but they were all gentleman and although we did go to the fiesta, we were all back here and asleep by 11pm and up before 6am. When ...
Londres, Province of Puntarenas, Costa Rica sunmoongoddess... They wouldn't even take our backpacks to town for us! As they pulled by, we stuck our thumbs out anyway, hoping that he simply didn't understand the request. He glanced at us and pointed at our muddy, busted up bus whose front grill now had mud seeping out of it. A few more private vehicles went by until a warm-hearted Tico briefly stopped and let us jump into the back of his 70's Datsun pickup. If you could have seen the look on our faces! We were saved. A very ...
Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, Province of Puntarenas, Costa Rica ccheng... a little more mellow, namely the Skywalk. This is just walking on the nicely paved trails as well as these hang-bridges. In order to get up to the first hang bridge, we must climb up the spiral staircase with minimal support about a hundred feet into the sky !!!! That was quite scary. The first hang bridge was just as intimidating with it swaying wildly to its sides!!! Good thing is I quickly walked across before I am overcomed by acrophobia. The rest ...
Santa Elena, Costa Rica andrewy... just nothing parallel to that. although there was this funny thing. the guides really took a liking to me for some reason (they were all ticos) and were having fun with me. i got tripped, pushed, tickled, pranked all day long. probably because i jumped up and demanded to go first while the other girls squirmed. who knows. regardless, i landed on a platform, got unhooked, and walked up to the lead guide and headbutted his helmet with mine. He laughed really hard, said ...
La Fortuna, Costa Rica travel.junkie... sleep in tomorrow then go for a short hike or bike ride. 3.22 We slept in late this morning then were in the process of catching a cab up to a waterfall when Mike spotted Clark walking down the street. Very strange. We knew he would be in this area, but he is staying like 20 mins away from us. We hadn´t talked to him since he left, so randomly seeing him was very odd. It worked out though, they have a car, so they drove us to the ...
