    Ciao, ciao, ciao .......we have just had a "piccolo vacanze" from Panicale for 2 days.......

    In my quest for a genuine woven leather handbag (or three) my research had unearthed a 5th generation traditional leather weaver in the small town of Petritoli in Marche. Only issue was that Marche is much further across Italy , through the Sibillini mountain range ,almost to the other side on the Adriatic Sea.

She speaks highly accented Italian and I think she has loose false teeth, but she confirms "sinistra" (left) and "poi destra" (then right), and we realise we have climbed too far.
