... we found a shared taxi to take us to our hotel. We decided to not stay in the main town of Hat Rin as it is supposed to be very crazy. It is where they have the Full Moon Party, but I think they now have half and quarter moon parties so it is just loud and crazy all the time. We met a couple from the Netherlands on the taxi ride. Only accessible by taxi boat, we chilled out for a ...

... idea, keen to recommence our Chang shower at Coral Bungalows. When we got there we followed pretty much the same procedure we adopted the previous night: smash a couple of buckets before spraying more than a couple of beers all over the place. The pool this evening was packed, you could hardly move. There was certainly no room to be performing any synchronised swimming routines that might endanger Em's ...

... where we saw a shark (!!!) we hopped on the speed boat to head back to the resort... Suddenly an instructor was jumping frantically and as we looked in the direction he pointed... A pod of whales emerged! There they were, little not than 4 metres away from us, jumping and crashing into the sea and playing around. Apparently they haven't been seen in the area for nearly 2 years, so was quite a treat. We met up with ...
