Wonderful private accommodation right by the ocean, the food was good, the location was perfect (away from the crowds in town).

          Day 15 Khao Sok

A travel blog entry by mrandmrsrowan on Aug 24, 2015

... Here we could do some swimming and scale the rocks for some cliff diving. So much fun albeit a little dangerous. From here we returned to the pier for a quick toilet break before going to Khao Sok viewpoint for lunch egg fried rice with chilli sauce. We decided to supplement our lunch with some magnums - delicious. The minivan took us back to our jungle house for our last nights stay. I (D) decided to go for a dip in the river next to the treehouse and ...

... After gym we had a late brunch of bacon, eggs, cheese, toast, jam etc. After such a brunch one needs a snooze, so we snoozed.

I was in need of a haircut so I asked at the front desk where the nearest hair salon was. The lady did not understand my English so I tried my English sign language. ... pools of water all over- there must have been about 10 workers sweeping the water away; they appeared to be fighting a losing battle!! We found a Pirates of the Marioland arcade which as the name suggests was a cross between pirates of the Caribbean and Super Mario. There were some really good shooting games; one (it was a child's game) you shot a water cannon- we loved that one!! Another was like a cinema and you shoot all around you. ...

... night. Me, not get lost?! This seemed unlikely, but I took pictures of the meeting spot and used Google Maps to figure out my location and I was off. The town was like many I had seen, stall after stall of virtually the same things... T-shirts to shot glasses to fans to wooden carvings. No town would be complete without a 7-11 on every corner and restaurants littered throughout. I still look back and laugh at my first two nights here and my excitement that there was a 7-11 around ...

... they couldn't concentrate and then they would hit a sugar low in the afternoon and would be really tired. Her aim is to set up a breakfast club but unfortunately there's the issue with money and finding money to actually feed the children. She has herself funded two breakfast mornings and made rice and an omelette for the children, she said that she saw such an improvement in those two days she was amazed and this is making her more determined to find a way to set it all up. ...
