We just call it "island paradise" The afternoon we spend on a rented boat around the island and we have been so lucky to see a group of dolphins playing 15/20 meters next to our boat. Playing, jumping...we couldn't believe our eyes. Key West is cool and the perfect getaway in Florida to experience tropical island vibes. The architecture, ...

Disney World
... trek down here to spend some time with us at Disney World. We went to Magic Kingdom on the night it was open till 3 a.m. Two days later, we stayed at Epcot till midnight. It was great catching up with John and Shawna. And even though our kids only see each other once a year, they reconnected immediately and enjoyed doing all the rides together. Yes, it was hot. But once that sun sets, and everyone ...

... and Boardwalk are just awesome. We were able to walk around all of these and see them in action. If you enjoy hotels...these are a must see. They all take on a theme and you actually feel like you are not in Orlando in some cases. The Wilderness Lodge really does feel like the Pacific Northwest where we had dinner and Grand Floridian was a nice slow pace! If you live in Orlando, take time to go and walk around ...
Car's Night
Por la tarde fuimos al mall. Compre de todo! Hasta Marino me hizo comprar un helicoptero para jugar. Cuando metimos los paquetes al carro, yo, deje las llaves dentro del carro. Ana Maria me va a matar! No se como hizo super Marino, pero abrio el carro. Me salvo de pagar como 200 ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Terra Verde Resort Kissimmee Florida
Great place!
Felt good about picking this resort after reading the reviews. It did not disappoint!
We booked a 6BR Villa directly with the owner for a week. There were 9 of us. The home had a private pool and hot tub/spa. This home was located close to the club house so we could sun tan at the house and the resort club house and still be close by. Some of the homes in this resort can be a bit further away so ask the owner about the actual location of the house in reference to the club house. There were many townhouses as well here Some have private pools or spas. Even though we had our own pool, it was still nice to be able to go to the larger public one, which is a zero entry pool great for little kids.
Small 30 acre lake to walk around was nice, and our house backed up to the lake so we took a few walks. If you can get a house or townhouse near or facing the lake it will seem more resorty than if you have a house down a street with no lakeview etc.
Tiki Bar at the pool with just beer an dwin and some hot dogs and various ice cream choices. We shopped at the local Publix and Walmart for food and beverages so didn't really use the Tiki Bar. The resort entrance is 3 miles off of 192, which can be fairly congested at times.
We ate at Logans Roadhous nearby and it was a great family atmosphere.
You will enjoy your stay at Terra Verde!!
Nice villa pity about the location
The villa we stayed in was excellent: service to the villa was good BUT! on the site were no shops for emergency items like bread ect: the bar at the pool was never open and the access to t the main road to the villa estate from walmart was horendus ( a death trap) while we were thete (3 weeks ) there were several crashes on the corner one fatal:on junction leading from Pocet road to bron road ( leading to walmart)
You needed to go to the supermarket because there was not shops open on the estate: where we stayed was nothing like the leaflet discribed,
Nothing was within walking distance the estate was way out: but like it said only mins by car
This place was the bomb! The best way to go!
My sister & our family all stayed at Terre Verde for 4 days in a gorgeous 5 bedroom home. We had so much fun and room that 1 bedroom was never even used. Everyone had their own space and no one got in each others way. The community was great with a "cozy" feel to it. I felt secure and right at home. Definately plan to stay here from now own when visiting the Orlando area. Much cheaper way to go vs. hotels. Close to everything (ie Grocery stores, Target/Walmart, Parks, etc). Plenty of buffet dining restaurants and entertainment. The walk-in pool was the highlight for the kids (ages 7, 13 & 21) along with the basketball court, game room, and playground. My brother inlaw spent every morning in the Lounge area to have his daily cup of coffee & newspaper. I highly recommend this gated community home and know you will enjoy it as much as we did.
Don't waste your money on the pool in your home. You also have to pay an additional fee to heat it. Just not necessary since they have a great walk-in pool for all ages at the club house.Bring pools toys for the kids-they are allowed.
You won't regret your stay.
Excellent
We've just returned from two relaxing weeks at Terra Verde. The location is approx 2½ miles off the 192, on Ponciana Blvd, which for anyone who knows Kissimmee fairly well will know it's perfectly located for the trips to the parks amongst other things. We stayed in a 3 bed townhouse on Flagler Beach Plc, it had all mod cons, was very spacious, clean and very beautifully furnished. We made full use of the hot tub out on the terrace, even on the cloudy days it was great to relax for a few minutes after a busy day out. The communial pool is great, most areas around the pool catch the sun all day and there are plenty of loungers/chairs too. It can get quite busy and noisy especially in the afternoons (although I have to say it's the adults that were making most noise and not the kids!) While we were there there was a house being completed right next to the pool so consquently there was alot of builders noise too. The house was almost finished as we were leaving so it shouldn't be a problem now. Theres a jacuzzi by the pool but I don't think it was working at all the whole time we were there. The internet room was handy to have, although alot of the time it was being taken up by children playing computer games! (there were signs up saying under 16's should be accompanied by a parent in all parts of the Clubhouse but I guess the parents preferred to stay by the pool, who can blame them?). The whole resort is kept clean and tidy and all the staff we came across were really friendly, even the gardeners and the secutity gate men! All in all, an excellent resort, so relaxing, we really didn't want to leave and we probably won't be staying in hotels in Florida again! it's Terra Verde for us again next year for sure!
Wonderful Time
We just spent a week at Terra Verde. Our whole family went and we stayed in a 6 bedroom 5.5 bathroom home and it was great. Everyone had plenty of room and the kids loved the pool and hot tub. Everything was easily accessible from our house and we are already planning our trip next year.
Terra Verde ......enjoyed it and will go again
Went with travelcitydirect and stayed here for 2 weeks. We had a 4 bed 3 bath end town house with a splash pool etc....The facilities were great with a club house, sauna, running machines, lounge, hot tub, heated pool etc. The internet problem was with one of the 3 machines the other two were OK but it can get busy. Be direct and ask people how long they will be. (the first one on the left is the dud). Walmart 5 minutes away (turn rt out of the gates and then first rt up Orren Brown) Disney etc very accessible since Ponsiana Bvd where the resort is crosses the 192 and goes straight onto the 565 and thus to disney in the west and universal etc to the north. Reassuring that it is gated with security although it would have been useful for them to employ a grounds man to clear the rubbish from the edges of the lake which is in the middle of the resort although it does not detract too much from the overall ambience. Plenty of bird life and the crickets sing all night. Overall a 4* place to stay as long as have transport.
Home Away from Home
The first thing we liked upon arrival was a gated security entrance. Check in was painless and the staff were very friendly. We rented a 4 bedroom townhome which was outstanding. Everything was new with plenty of space. The kitchen, living room, all bedrooms were immaculate and spacious. We also had our own private pool in our own courtyard which was great. Our kids spent some time playing with other kids at the community pool. The clubhouse was well equipped with a fitness center, lounging room and internet cafe. The Resort itself is extremely tropical and located just minutes to Disney and all restaurants. On previous trips we have been way out on US27. This is much more accessible. Loved the Resort and had a wonderful vacation. Top score all around.
Great but Internet doesn't work
I have to say the apartment is great, most mod cons, The pool is great, the apartment spacious. Decor is cheap but perfectly acceptable. The apartments are close to a Wal-Mart and all the parks, about 6 miles to Disney. My only complaint is that I am writing this review from an Internet cafe at 5US$ an hour. Reason? The Internet at the Club house is very poor, the wireless is unusable, it would be so cool if it worked as our apartment receives it. The 3 PC's connected to the net are often crowded and usually don't work properly, the staff don't seem to care and think they know more about the net than you do. If you don't need Internet access though, the Apartments are great.
Very nice
Stayed in 3b condo, all new, clean and it was great having washer and dryer. Also the hot tub in back is the best. Community pool and hot tub are also very nice. Would never stay in a hotel again. Price is about the same.
Great resort
I just spent a week at a Terra Verde 3 BR condo and it was fantastic. It was brand new and we were the first residents of the place. The resort is gated, and has a nice clubhouse. In the clubhouse, they have internet access, pool, jacuzzi, sauna, half a basketball court, video games, and billiards. The unit we had was spacious, and included a large washer and dryer. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, so it was great to relax in after spending all day at the parks.
When we go back again to Orlando, Terra Verde is the first place we're going to look.
