    ... the room out, it smelt like the cleaners they put in the urinals. Not good. We went for a bite to eat down at the beach, which seems to be not as nice as what websites have made out. There are just boats everywhere, big tanks out from shore a little. The shallow water is clogged with seaweed and the sand is full of litter. We won't be going on that beach!     ... women who work in the markets are very pushy. They see you coming from down the road and divert you to their stall. Unfortunately the **** they are selling is the same at each stall. And they start at very high prices. I can't be bothered a lot of the time, and we have become very good at saying NO!

    Today has been our last day of relaxation before a bit of retail therapy in Hong Kong and then onwards to home.

    We have not really stuck with the local food options here in Bali as we did so effectively in Vietnam and Cambodia. Tonight is italian night, for example. Oh well, back to noodles in Hong Kong we think.

    ... fine. A couple of large Bintang beers, a steak sandwich and chicken satay, sat at a table on the beach as close to the sea as we could possibly get. All for less than a tenner, including a large bottle of water to take home with us. I could get used to this! Talking of which, Kirsty said she is properly relaxed being here. Ermm, so tomorrow we up sticks to head somewhere else.... PS: August 17th, Independence day in Indonesia, flags are awaving everywhere. ...
