In Ubud, we kept busy. I faced my fears and walked through the Monkey Forest. Never again. These beasts are far too intelligent for my comfort. I was in heaven at our vegan-friendly eco-resort, dining on quinoa and lentil French/Balinese fusion dishes. Who knew the French love Bali? I spoke more French here than in Morocco! It's just those basic things that make you so so happy when your backpacking, you wouldn't believe it. This hotel is much better than the ones in the last couple of ...

... the next day. We would be visiting the Mother Temple, a coffee and spice farm, rice terraces, Bedugal Temple and the Monkey Forest Temple. When the heavens closed and it stopped raining we decided to see some real culture. We bought tickets to a Ketcha and Trance Dance. Finding the temple where the dance was turned out to be a challenge. It was much harder than the ticket clerk had said. A 100 metre walk turned into a 15 minute search up the back alleys of Ubud going off directions ...
