... way to the flight desks and try our luck - most flights are booked, the ones that aren't want 50% more per ticket than online and cash only - total JIP! ... actually go out and have some fun! Even within that first hour of being on Bali, there was a HUGE difference in the culture and attitude compared to Java. Bali is an island that is majority Hindu and very relaxed, whereas Java was Muslim and extremely conservative (especially Solo - the least westernized city on all of Java).
