What a place to go and try wine! Franschhoek, translated to French Corner, is one of the most beautiful wine regions in the Cape in my opinion. ... in SA. Give over-priviledged 18 year olds a whole day of wine consumption and you can guess what the outcome is....pretty much a highscool field party. These kids live in a bubble and are oblivious to just how spoiled they are. I'm looking forward to getting back to Cape Town tomorrow.

Next time I go to a wine festival in South Africa, I will at least try to go on Sunday instead of Saturday.

Beautiful city though.

... African fans were for the most part gracious as well, congratulating us on “our” win.

What else? I bought the souvenirs I had been holding off on all semester. (Got some good “banana deals”, although we're still not sure what that means). I returned to one of the cafes a friend and I had frequented in the first few weeks (before school work, dwindling budgets, and shrinking pants caught up with us!) and brought flowers ...

... to get their hands on these short-term supplies and it is rare that somebody makes such a sizeable donation that can be used in a permanent way. And when people do make donations, I think they tend to want it spent on these “fun” things, so I am very thankful to rotary for helping with a donation that will last for years and help in many ways, even though it might not seem quite as glamorous as donating toys. When my mom is here, I will have one ...
