The scenery of the Rockies is nothing short of amazing. The real highlight for me would have been the day we travelled from Jasper to Banff on the Icefields Parkway. What a road. It has been voted one of the most scenic roads and I could see why. In every direction and at every turn there were glorious snow capped peaks, or fresh running streams. Well at the end of my last post I said I'd post again in a week or when exciting stuff happens. It's been probably 2 months since my last post so luckily enough some exciting stuff has happened! ... spot on Whistler Mountain on a run called ‘Jeffs Ode to Joy’. There is a section of the run where it is a steep downhill followed by an uphill section where it flattens off. If you get enough speed going from the up lip you can fly off the top and soar through the sky, a most exhilarating feeling I can tell you! The first time I did it I felt at least four feet in the air, who knows how high I really was! Need to get Jenny to film me ...

... All in all it's been an epic few weeks in the snow and I can't wait to share the next few weeks with friends from Aus. Let's hope the snow keeps on coming right up until I have to drive a car through the Rockies. Then I will be happy for there to be no snow whatsoever thank you very much.
