      Nothing is perfect

      ... You can see the lake from almost everywhere in the house. When I walked in today I actually felt an "ahhhh" looking out at the water. This is the only place in which I felt an emotional response on entering the house. There is such a feeling of the outside being part of the house BUT the house is older, the HOA fees are much higher and you have to join Plantation in order to have a club house and activities. So......no decision. I am going to try to rent here on Anna ...

      Turn the calendar from January 31 to Feb 1 and this place changes dramatically. The island has gone from a sleepy peaceful place with few people, mostly older, to more traffic, more people. Lots of familys, younger people. They tell me "the season" here is Feb and March and this has been very evident this week.       ... names on the bowl grid for prizes, and Marla's name was called for the final game prize! She won a very cool beach chair and a $25 dinner certificate. Luckily, we stayed in Navarre one more day so we used our gift certificate for lunch the next day.

      We actually left that same day as the "old folks". It was quite a day, let me tell you! Everyone woke up and listened to the weather on that Sunday. We talked and studied weather, wind and tide charts and listened to multiple reports. The winds were of some concern due to changing directions but the consensus was that while the conditions were not perfect, they were good enough. Hooray! ...
