A travel blog entry by katiejgoodwin on Jun 01, 2015

Got picked up from the hostel and then put on a speedboat to Nuang Yuan. Nuang Yuan is the prettiest island ever! The waters are so clear and blue/green. Your not allowed to take plastic bottles or anything onto the island I guess to prevent rubbish and pollution so it doesn't get spoiled. ... with pretty gardens and ponds throughout. We were flying with Bangkok airways and it was the tiniest plane I've ever been on. It was only an hour domestic flight so I was pretty surprised when they came round with some free meals!

Lesson learnt: Scooters are dangerous (also driving in general in SE Asia) and can be costly if you damage them! Apparently the rental companies don't offer insurance so you just have to pay all the repair costs outright.
