    Snorkelling at Phangan

A travel blog entry by joshtollman on Apr 07, 2014

Woke up and went to Nera's Bakery where I had scrambled eggs on Rye bread, chocolate croissant and a banana shake. We then went back to the hotel to get our bags and take the transfer for our snorkelling with Black Coral organisation. We went to Had Salad, Koma, bottle beach to chill. We had chicken stirfry for lunch with pineapple and then a last snorkel at Sail Rock which was the best reef I've seen with loads of sea anenomes and clown fish/parrot ...

... The cocktails at our resort were stiff, and I passed out extremely early the first night here while trying to abuse the happy hour rates.

On the 3rd day we decided to check out Samui's main attraction, Chaweng Beach on the other side of the island - It was worth the effort! The taxi dropped us off outside this rundown looking strip mall, to which we asked him if this was the right place. “Other side” he claimed, so we made ...

... we just could not pass up on it, so we ordered more beers. We reluctantly called it a day and headed home late afternoon, not easy to tear oneself away from such a day. Received an email from Patrick inviting us to the M+M Bar in Bang Rak where they have a free barbecue and live music on a Friday night, you obviously only pay for your drinks. This is heaven ! We already booked a table at Fi so made an ...

    Onwards!

A travel blog entry by charlottemt on Dec 11, 2013

... from laughs at us saying "too far! too far!" But with typical English stubbornness we carry on walking without a real clue as to where we're going until it turns dark and we end up back were we started on the pier and get a taxi for £2 each. It does make us feel somewhat better that the taxi driver is as clueless as us and has no idea where any of the hotels are. The whole of ...
