... and have one before I felt quite myself again.
The things and stuff on sticks theme continued all over Koh Samui, much to our delight as we found wee local markets all over the island, each with their own versions of meaty things on sticks, some with squid, prawns, chicken, pork or balls (not sure what is in all of them yet!) on sticks, all sticky from their marinades and all tasting fantastic, be sure to get there early enough ...
... half an hour it was all over. We then had time to enjoy the waterfalls nearby which would have been more lovely without all the people!
And so with heavy hearts we had to say goodbye to Thailand :-( Admittedly we did Thailand in style - beautiful resorts to enjoy and relax in - but I have a feeling the Thai people are just the same everywhere you go. They are a beautiful people and I can't wait to return.
... to go to desginer shops so we headed out in the street and visited the markets. They were buzzing with people calling us to come in their stall/bar/restaurant, we all picked up some bargain souvenirs and presents and the time flew by. After a couple of blueberry cocktails at Legends bar we got in a songthaew and headed back to Lamai (200 baht for three people). Back at the hostel we watched the SyFy channel until bed, ready for our flight back to busy Bangkok the next ...

Yesterday was the weekly Walking Market which is always good for a laugh especially the band and they did not let us down, some songs were obvious others took ages to workout but it always draws a crowd. Street food was good and the insect sellers did a roaring trade, we still have not been brave enough or drunk enough to try any.
Lastly the Mighty Palace have really excelled themselves so onward and upward Man City to the slaughter next ...

The sea below was shrouded in the early haze, but the golden glint of the sand stood out as did the islands dotted in the sea standing proud watching over their land. Capturing the most of the views the restaurant was open on two sides, slotted into the hillside between the coconut and durian trees. Maximising on the views the toilet was carved into the hillside, so when you peed you were blessed with the most amazing vistas. Not ...
