    ... a 3 day period of abstention. Hardly the way to prepare for a wedding, so thanks Amex and a big fat raspberry to you TD USA. Just drop into any of our conveniently located branches they say. The nearest branch is in Florida but we happen to be in California! America's most convenient bank my ass.

    ... As we got up to Livermore the traffic reports were a nightmare, so we took an alternate route; a little bit out of the way, but very little traffic and quite a lovely drive. It was a long day, but considering everything we did fine, and the side issues only added about 2 hours to the trip. Arrived tired but happy.
