Bali: The worst place in the world
... Kuta offering great rates, you are led to a counter at the back of the store. Upon requesting how many dollars you would like to change for rupiah you are informed that they only have small notes. The guy counts out the notes in front of you then handing over the bundle for you to check before taking it back off you for one last final count. It is within this final checking session that the money somehow vanishes! The first time we got all the ...
Costa Del Bali
... eating consuming our evenings we haven't seen much of what Bali has to offer but we do have a cautionary tale to share. We, like any holidaymaker, went to change some of our hard earned Aussie Dollars into Indonesian Rupees before we left Perth but were warned by a very helpful banker that the exchange rate would be 84,000 and we would get so much more for our money when we arrived in Bali. We were thankful for this advice when we landed, collected our bags and ...

Meh
... for a crazy party, not to mention it's not really safe as a single female travel (I haven't felt as safe here in Kuta as I did in Ubud either. Everything seems a bit skeevy). I hear though that they have fireworks on the beach, so I think I will wander down there just to check it out. Then probably early to bed, early to rise, then getting the hell outta here. I will definitely come back to Bali in the future but I doubt I will come back to Kuta Legian.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
