One activity we both greatly enjoy is golf, so we booked a short-game clinic (putting and chipping) followed by 18 holes at the Makai golf course here in Princeville. Makai is the only US golf course to make National Geographic's list of the five most scenic in the world. And we found out why. Amazing vistas and difficult shots onto greens hugging ...

We asked several locals if they thought it would be a good idea to sneak in if they were closed and they told us that they would never recommend that and people die that way so we are anxiously waiting. We had our anniversary dinner at the restaurant on the resort but didn't care for the snootiness of the hostess and the fact that our table was not really reserved so we would have preferred another location. ...
... got too deep. Beautiful view of the bay from out in the water. I spent a couple of hours watching new stand-up paddle boarders falling in the water and then headed back to the room. Just as I was packing up, someone pointed out to the ocean saying that there was a black flag. Sure enough, there was what looked like a small sail boat with a black mast. Apparantly its a signal for swimmers to stay close to sure due to strong currents/unsafe conditions.
... got some red bits but because I burn my scalp yesterday/day before, I woke up this morning and when I looked in the mirror I saw a cross between the Tefal Man (some of you will be old enough to remember him) and something from Star Trek. My forehead is swollen and my scalp if burning. Will have to start putting sunscreen on my scalp/hair.
Shopping put away before an hour and a half by the pool followed by watching the sunset again.
Now for dinner, ...and its green.
... tidy up, see if everything has dried out from yesterday, and fight with the internet connection again. It's a bit temperamental but gets there in the end. Need to go in search of a fridge today as my newly refurbished room has a new coffee maker, new units, nice new memory foam king sized bed, newly tiled and fitted bathroom with what looks like a bariatric shower curtain. Well, instead of a straight curtain track, it's bowed. Happen as well, as I'll probably be grateful of ...
