... thirty degrees, with a cooling breeze. We discussed plans for the rest of the week and chilled for a while. About five thirty we went for a walk around town, saw a pretty temple a collection of wired dolls (see photo), and then found the other night market which sold clothes etc and....food. There were probably several dozen cooks on the go. So we grazed our way around: tiny mackerel fish cakes, pad thai, sushi, pork on a stick and some ...

The town was a lot more authentic Thai and not as touristy which was nice. We headed towards the night market and enjoyed ...

... but we still loved them! It was a small scooter with a little 4 seater bench attached on to one side with a canopy over it! We took one of these new contraptions to Lanta's old town the next morning which was beautiful! Extremely tranquil with local shops, handmade clothes, wood work and gorgeous leather bags! Me and Elisse did manage to pick up a couple of unique hand made bits :) A girls gotta shop! We ate on the only ...

... in Texas. There are 7/11s on every corner and across from each other, similar to Starbucks. And yes, there are Starbucks-we have not gone in one, though! Coffee is easy to come by, thankfully! One morning we set out for Thai massages at the womens' prison. Sadly, it had been closed down. They were known for rehabilitating the inmates 6 mos prior to being released, teaching them a trade so they could start a new life. Massages were said to be ...
