... trip. This is me holding her to that promise! After Joyce took a quick dip in the water, we ate a delicious Thai meal (pad Thai and papaya salad) and hiked to the viewpoints we read about in lonely planet. Is it really life changing? We wanted to know. The hike was promised to be strenuous but short, however we did not find that to be true. Turns out we may have taken the road less traveled but still wound up at beautiful viewpoint 2. ...

... to enjoy as there was a constant stream of tourists swimming in but it was still stunningly beautiful inside. I was unable to take photos until we got inside and after retrieving my camera from our guide (as he had everything inside a large waterproof bag due to us having to swim inside) but once I had it I was taking heaps as we weren't to have much time inside which was a shame. Inclusive in the trip they took us to Budda island for a picnic lunch, there was a beautiful beach there and some good snorkelling. It was a thrilling day that left us with a good few aches from the full body work out, so we agreed we would have one more totally chilled day before making the long journey to Cambodia.

... when we arrived and therefore had everything arranged on our leaving ensuring we got the right speedboat back for our next leg in Koh Phangan and all the links to get us there worked like clockwork.

Watch this space for the next exciting instalment as we head to our next luxury stopover which again wasn't long enough!

Thanks Rayavadee for a lovely few days. One day we may even get to return.

... of fried chicken, fried fish, and stir fired vegetables. Large chunks of watermelon and pineapple were then handed around before we headed off to tour the James Bond Island…

This may have been an idyllic and remote location back in 1974, but now it is given over to the ubiquitous souvenir stall and the inevitable cry of "Shopping, shopping, you buy, you buy…" as well. About fifty stalls are on the small beach, each selling a devastatingly awful array ...
