      ... also lovely. There was a lot of cyclamen growing.

      The upper Basilica of St Francis was spectacular, with frescoes, painted by Giotto and his school. Mum and I, listened to an audio, telling the stories of Francis, painted in the frescoes.

      We had a very good lunch the second time we visited. Mum, Dad and Leah had bean soup. I had the most delicious spinach and sausage toasted sandwich ever!

      Kara without my knowing it scheduled these 12 days as a recharge knowing that travel would be intense during the fall months.       ... decided to go to a waterpark called Acqua Village. It was a lot of fun. There were two slides called Kamikaze. You can guess the extremity of these slides. The slides consist of a straight drop, then a flat part that comes out of nowhere. The result: a lot of water in your face and not enough breath to process it all.       ... and we visit them in the barn every day!

      Like everywhere else we've stayed, we had no idea what we were actually getting here. We had to wire a deposit of cash way back in March, and just take a leap of faith that it was going to be as good as we hoped. It is. The views are stunning, the pool is refreshing and cold, the proprietors - Giovanna and Giovanni - could NOT be nicer, and Giovanna's cooking is the best we have ever tasted. G and G ...
