I really enjoyed my stay here. It is right on the beach, price was good during low time and staff were friendly. I paid 500 baht for a room off the dining area with fan during low time.

I departed Ko Tao on the ferry for the Full Moon party capital of the world Ko Phangan. It cost about 200 baht and took roughly 2 hours. ... were already making lost of friends along the beach, painting everyone we met on the way. It was great !!! The moon was obviously spectacular. Huge, rounded and orange, that faces the beautiful sea and that big party. It was more than perfect! We danced and walked that beach for any corner till the sole of the foot hurt. The songs to my delight not restricted to electronic, music played from the 80’s remixed, pop, hip hop, dance and why not Brazilian music ...

Sunday 9th - Wednesday 12th Ko Tao is the number one place in the world to get your open water PADI, this is probably because its also the cheapest. We decided that due to the weather (affecting the visibility of the water), time constraints, and the mass influx of travellers after full moon that we'd skip diving with all the English "Lads" and instead spend three days on the island relaxing and doing some snorkelling. Sunday was another day of torrential rain ...
