... the news spread as this was the first hatching from this nest. Around 60 hatchlings "ran" tonight. The nest was relocated as the eggs were laid right at the bottom of the steps to the beach so they know that there are 199 eggs in the nest. We learnt so much from the volunteer. It just goes to show that it's worth getting involved with the locals as we'd have never have known about this nest let alone to go this ...
We have been here for nearly 4 weeks and it really is a nice part of the State. We have done a lot of travelling around Noosa, Maroochydore, Caloundra, Cooroy, Pomona and Kin Kin areas.
On Monday October 6, we visited Sam and Libby Sansome - friends of ours who used to live in Mount Gambier. They live and work at Caloundra and showed us around and had a lovely day.

Today, being Fathers Day, we went down to the Mooloolaba Surf Club and met our friends Wendy & Norm Jensen for lunch. Another good feed of fish and chips and another opportunity to flash my Coolangatta Surf Club card!
Its pack up time again and we will head up to Inskip Pt tomorrow.
